Permanent spoofs always override any user-agent selection in the toolbar.
By default, any user-agent you select in Chrome's toolbar takes precedence
over any permanent spoofs you have set up. By selecting this option,
your permanent spoofs always take precedence over any selection in the toolbar.
Set user-agent spoof per tab
When setting your user-agent spoof on the fly in the toolbar, the user-agent you choose will
only apply to the current tab. This allows you to have multiple tabs spoofing different user-agents
at once.

The User-Agent Switcher for Chrome is a Chrome extension that
allows you to quickly and easily modify Chrome's user-agent
while browsing. It also allows you to set up permanent
user-agent switching behavior so that Chrome will always use
a different user-agent string for certain sites.
This extension is built and maintained by Glenn Wilson. You can send bugs & feature requests there.
Thanks to jeffd on the Tech Patterns forums for building a huge user-agent string list for the community to use.
